Kasia (Katarzyna) is a certified mindfulness instructor and trainer, sound bath and relaxation facilitator, and massage therapist, with a passion for exploring sound as a tool to enrich the process of relaxation, meditation, and self-healing. Born in Poland, she relocated to Ireland in her early twenties and has been living here since 2005 where she continues to learn and develop both professionally and personally.
She promotes sound relaxation and meditation as a way of managing stress and supporting overall wellbeing and mental health. Her desire to help people led her to become the founder and owner of Sound Magic Ireland, which she has been managing since 2011, and led her to open a meditation studio Mindfulness Haven Galway in 2019. She delivers mindfulness courses and professional courses online, both in her native Polish language and in English.
She is dedicated to helping people to set themselves free from stress and anxiety and to educate them about the importance of relaxation that leads to improved health, developing stress coping techniques, managing anxiety, rediscovering the joys of life, and appreciating the uniqueness of the present moment.
She does this by exploring the value of sound as a tool enriching the process of relaxation, meditation, and hypnogenic states and also teaching mindfulness techniques to adults and children.
Kasia firmly believes that everyone can shift from fear-based thinking to living the empowered life they love.
She also teaches meditation to people with disabilities, children, collaborates with schools, conducts seminars, courses, and workshops in work environments, and conducts mindfulness instructor courses for teachers and vocational courses for instructors in English and Polish.
Her passion for helping others, music, psychology, therapy work, and work with children was deeply influenced by her mother, who was a music teacher, preschool teacher, but also a holistic therapist. She understood the deep role of sound and music in emotional education and healing and inspired Kasia to seek the deeper meaning of life and helping others very early on in her life. She began discovering her passions related to various techniques of relaxation, meditation, and spirituality in the early teenage years, and she began to follow this inspiration professionally at the age of 21, starting as a massage therapist.
Her foray into the path of mindfulness was birthed from her own experiences. Mindfulness is the technique that helped her to go through difficult moments in her life and enable her to appreciate challenges as lessons and the opportunity to grow.
After losing her mother in her early twenties, she developed panic disorder and depression. Mindfulness and Vipassana Meditation came into her life a year later and was the major key to finding herself again and creating a sense of connection and grounding in her life. Experienced working with different groups and as a masseuse, Kasia spent a lot of time in the personal practice of meditation and went regularly on silent meditation retreats.
Kasia is a mother of two. Her first childbirth resulted in a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder that lasted for many years. That led her to explore various techniques, therapies, and developing a professional interest in pregnancy massage, and gentle birth. She was also dealing with postnatal depression. Those difficult experiences helped her develop both personally and professionally. She developed understanding, compassion, and empathy when working with women, children and people dealing with anxiety. Kasia’s second childbirth was proof for her that mindfulness, compassion, and awareness can help to overcome trauma and make childbirth transformative and beautiful experience. Mindfulness during pregnancy and childbirth helps women to work through fear, anxiety, challenging situations and pain no matter the circumstances. Kasia now promotes mindfulness as a technique supporting conscious childbirth and emotional health for pregnant women.
Kasia knows first-hand the impact trauma and stress have on one’s psyche, body, and heart. Through her own metamorphosis, she is now committed to guiding others through a path that enables them to live the true life they so envisioned and to help them restore wholeness.
Certificates and Education
In Poland, Kasia obtained a Level 7 NQAI Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Management. After graduation, she decided to move to Ireland and change her professional career to a massage therapist. Over the years she gathered impressive professional certification in the wide field of holistic wellness and education. Above all her professional education, she attended a large number of workshops related to relaxation, therapy, sound healing, hypnotherapy, non-valiant communication, and more.
She is a certified trainer and professional instructor of mindfulness techniques for children and adults, with over 10 years of personal meditation practice.
She has worked with children at different levels and is also a level 5 early childcare educator, possesses level 6 play therapy skills, yoga for kids, massage in schools, sound relaxation in schools, drumming facilitation certificates and is a mindfulness curriculum trainer with a background in various curriculums intended for children and adolescents.
She holds a "Train the Trainer" certificate, which is the basis for training people in professional competences in Ireland.
Her courses are aimed at professionals, psychologists, doctors, group training instructors, therapists, teachers, parents and all those who want to develop professionally towards becoming a mindfulness coach. Her courses are authentic, based on her knowledge and experience and personal journey.
She has extensive training in different types of massage. When working with people she combines many techniques, but the one closest to her heart is the Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi massage. Her expertise in massage therapy especially for pregnant women is backed by several certifications including a certificate in pregnancy and childbirth massage from Well Mother, a certificate in Anatomy and Physiology, Lomi Lomi, Kahuna Hawaiian Body Work, Thai Yoga Massage, amongst others.
Lukasz holds a master's degree in Philosophy. On a daily basis, he is teaching about the environment for a leading environmental charity in Ireland and runs Creative Together, which promotes creativity and critical thinking, engaging communities through arts. Lukasz is passionate about education.
He is a musician, artist, and writer. He published two books: "Hidden shine. In the world of Carlos Castaneda" (2005), and "Philosophise with children. Handbook for facilitating philosophical inquiry with children and young people" (2019). Both books were published in Polish.
Lukasz had his first powerful meditation and spiritual awakening experience about 30 years ago in his early teenage years. Since then he has dedicated a substantial part of his life to learn and practice different meditation techniques, holistic therapies, bodywork, yoga, Tai Chi, studying Buddhist philosophy, and other religious traditions. He started to teach Tai Chi and Qi Gong classes in 2005 in Galway when we moved to Ireland and now focused on using sound for wellbeing.
He is an experienced facilitator, working with small and large groups for the last 15 years. Every year he works with thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.
He loves to share his knowledge and experience, offering guidance, and facilitating a safe environment for everyone to work within themselves. He has a passion for working with younger generations and promoting mental wellbeing for men. He's been involved in men's circles since 2013.
