1 - YEAR PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
Mindfulness is a practice and a way of life that allows us to stay in touch with ourselves and the present moment, with what is happening here and now, in order to learn to experience life consciously and fully.
Cultivating mindfulness helps us see life from the perspective of transience and thus appreciate and enjoy life more, no matter what our circumstances are. We cannot change the past or predict the future, but we can consciously live the present moment, thus influencing our relationship with the world, ourselves, and how we choose to live our lives. More awareness is conducive to making better decisions, developing deeper relationships with others and with yourself.
This 1 - Year program was developed to provide professional training for anyone who would like to become a mindfulness instructor. It involves online study: pre-recorded materials, weekly live group webinars, a home-based study including personal practice, written assignments, and a work experience and case study record. An important part of the training is the support of the instructor throughout the course in a form of calls or email communication.
After this course, you will know how to introduce mindfulness to groups, individuals, clients in your psychotherapy practice, corporate settings, at the retreats. How to introduce mindfulness on-site and online.
The program includes modules for children, teenagers, and adults, and trauma-sensitive mindfulness, including modifications of the practice and online work.
In the last few years, the popularity of mindfulness and meditation practices started to grow worldwide. While this may be a good thing, it is also a groud for promoting misconceptions about mindfulness and low standard courses that provide certification yet low experience and knowledge in the larger context.
I myself took many online mindfulness courses that could be enough to become a professional, and that started to worry me greatly. It is enough to take a course that is available without any assessment of knowledge and connecting with a student to support him/her. Certification can be obtained simply by flying through the material, not even practicing mindfulness. Most courses have no modules on the "side effects" of mindfulness or meditation practice and trauma-sensitive approaches.
I see growing numbers of articles about side effects of mindfulness, also taken out of context or the opposite. Media and even schools that offer mindfulness training describing the practice as safe and effective, one that everyone can practice and benefit from. This is simply not the whole picture or neither side.
My passion to provide professional quality training and mindfulness programs for school teachers and the general public is driven by this situation. I would like everyone to be able to understand the practice and be properly supported while developing it both as an instructor and a person who learns it for their own benefit. My aim is to provide information and education for instructors so that mindfulness courses and classes worldwide can not only remain high but also keeps growing with the newest information and research.

KATARZYNA KRZYWON is the owner of Sound Magic Ireland since 2011, Mindfulness Haven Galway meditation studio in Galway city and Mindfulness Haven Academy- where she offers online courses in both her native Polish language and in English.
She is a certified mindfulness instructor and trainer, with
a trauma-sensitive approach, sound bath, and relaxation facilitator, massage therapist, with a passion for exploring sound as a tool to enrich the process of relaxation, meditation, and self-healing. She promotes sound relaxation and meditation as a way of managing stress and supporting overall wellbeing and mental health.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATES
Katarzyna is a certified mindfulness trainer with over 10 years of personal meditation practice.
Katarzyna holds the Mindful Schools Curriculum certificate and has a background in various curriculums intended for children and adolescents. Her mindfulness courses are uniquely designed to reflect her experience in working with children and adults for over 10 years. She continues to learn and bring new information to her training. She has a particular interest in neuroeducation, psychology, and promoting wellbeing at schools.
Katarzyna holds the “Train the Trainer” certificate, which is the basis for training people in professional competencies in Ireland, a certificate of the Clinical Trauma Specialist from Trauma Institute International, FETAC 5 Early Childcare Education, Fetac 6 Playtherapy Skills, Rainbow Kids Yoga, Massage in Schools, Rhythmical Alchemy Drumming Facilitation Skills, Sound Relaxation in Schools. She also has extensive training in different types of massage, including pregnancy massage.
She has been delivering workshops for children in Ireland since 2009. Promoting mindfulness and relaxation in schools, for communities, at events, summer camps, and family residential holidays.
She trains teachers in Ireland and in Poland in promoting emotional intelligence and mindfulness in schools.
