Sound Bath in Galway – Deep Rest with Gongs & Singing Bowls

Sound Magic Ireland offers professionally facilitated, trauma-sensitive sound bath sessions in Galway and Mayo - designed to support deep rest, nervous system regulation and stress relief. Sessions are held with care for how sound lands - the instruments we choose, the volume we play at, and the freedom to sit up, move or leave at any point.

We do not use crystal bowls. Our focus is on gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, handpans, Rav Vasts, solfeggio pipes and other melodic instruments, creating rich layers of sound and vibration that the whole body can feel.

What is a Sound Bath AND WHO IS IT FOR?

A sound bath is a guided relaxation experience where you lie down comfortably while live instruments are played around you. It isn't a performance or a concert - it's a passive practice, and there's nothing to do but rest.

  • Our sessions last 75 minutes in Galway

  • You're invited to lie down on a yoga mat, or sit if you prefer, with a blanket and pillow for comfort

  • We begin with a gentle guided body scan or Yoga Nidra, move into the sound journey, and close with a short compassion meditation

People who want to slow down and quieten a busy mind. People curious about meditation but put off by sitting still. People who want to feel more settled in their body, or who simply love sound.

We welcome teenagers too, and people who are neurodivergent. If you're looking for a way into stillness - whether you have an active mind, ADHD, or just a lot going on - a sound bath can be a good place to start, because there's nothing to concentrate on and nothing to get right.

Settling can take a few goes — curious minds often want to work out what's happening before they can let go. That's normal.

I have ADHD and anxiety myself, so I know how hard switching off can be. Trust and safety come first; once your body learns it's safe, it eases off on its own.

Come a few times before you decide. And if your body tells you sound isn't for you, don't fight it — that's worth listening to.

WHAT people often notice:

  • Deep rest — many describe it as the most complete rest they've had in months

  • A calmer, more settled nervous system, and less physical tension

  • Greater awareness of the body — some people notice less discomfort or pain

  • Emotional release — feelings sometimes surface, and many describe it as a relief

  • A quieter mind — more present, and for some, a sense of clarity afterwards

  • More energy afterwards, or a feeling of lightness

  • Better sleep in the nights that follow

Corporate Sound Bath Ireland

Sound Bath Sessions in Galway AND MAYO

Sessions take place in Galway city and around the west — Castlebar, Claremorris, Clonbur and Cong — wherever we find a room that feels right.

We run public sessions, private bookings and special events through the year.

Have a look at upcoming events for dates.

Do book ahead — we can't take people at the door. We're travelling with a lot of instruments and hiring the room, so we need eight people booked before a session can go ahead. If the session can't happen, we'll notify you in advance and offer you another date, or your money back.
