Why Train with ATUNA Academy
At ATUNA Academy, we believe great sound facilitation combines musical skill, practical facilitation, and the ability to hold space with confidence, sensitivity and care. We believe musical confidence and sound facilitation skills develop through practice, experience, listening, reflection, and ongoing learning.

Our training includes hands-on learning with singing bowls, gongs, instruments and sound structures, alongside facilitation skills, trauma-sensitive principles, nervous system awareness, mindfulness, communication and ethical practice.

Students learn not only how to play instruments, but how to work safely with groups, understand pacing and sound intensity, adapt sessions to different needs, support regulation, and create meaningful experiences rooted in presence and professional practice.

Whether you are a beginner, have already completed Level 1 elsewhere, or are looking to continue your professional development, our pathways are designed to build on your existing experience and support deeper confidence in practice.

Founded by Sound Magic Ireland, facilitators with experience since 2010, ATUNA Academy offers practical, embodied learning rooted in real experience, creativity, and ongoing development.
Story behind ATUNA Academy
ATUNA Academy was founded by Kasia Slabon — sound practitioner, musician, mindfulness teacher, and mother of two neurodiverse children.

My interest in trauma-sensitive and nervous system-aware practice comes not only from years of professional work, but also from personal experience. As a mother of two neurodiverse children, and someone with a sensitive and easily overwhelmed nervous system, I know first-hand that relaxation is not always easy or straightforward.

As interest in sound baths continues to grow and more facilitators begin sharing this work, I believe it is increasingly important that sound facilitation is approached with the care, professionalism, responsibility, and ongoing development it deserves.

Over the years, I began to feel there was a need for training that brought together not only musical and sound skills, but also facilitation, nervous system awareness, mindfulness, ethics, and the realities of thoughtfully holding space for different people and experiences.

I created ATUNA Academy as a place for grounded, practical, and ongoing learning — where beginners, practitioners, and experienced facilitators can continue developing their confidence, musicality, sensitivity, and professional skills over time.
