Mindfulness Programme for Primary and Secondary Schools has been proven to be an effective bullying prevention tool around the world and implemented successfully in thousands of schools.
Mindfulness slowly starts to get the attention of the Ministry o Education and being recognized as a very beneficial part of children's development. With hopes for becoming one day a part of the SPHE curriculum and help to support positive mental health practice in Irish schools. It is an investment in your child's mental health and well-being for years to come.
Teaching mindfulness to children is like planting seeds in the ground and looking after them to help them grow. It is not the FIX ALL solution but rather a long term skills development that with time and practice has a chance to become a strongly rooted base for becoming a happy and confident adult who deals well with stress and challenges, is capable of forming strong and healthy relationships, and also develops emotional intelligence and self-regulation skills.
I was trained with Mindful Schools (http://www.mindfulschools.org)
Our program is inspired and based on Mindful Schools Curriculum, however, it is not entirely thought of as Mindful Schools Curriculum but adapted to my skills and experience by adding more art, stories, and sound relaxation into it. Teachers and parents are included in a program as well.
The program can be tailored to school needs and finances.
We also run workshops for teachers and parents separately as well as professional teacher training.
Our program is designed to fit any group age and classroom, both at the primary and secondary levels.
Teachers are also to benefit from it, learning tools to continue to work with mindfulness in their classroom and managing stress in their daily life.
The program can be stretched between 8-30 sessions, 15 min - 1 hour in duration.
CD with mindful practise and materials for students, parents, and teachers, also art materials are included in the price.
